I live in the Downtown area of a large city, and several of my female friends have had their phones stolen out of their purses. They have left their purse open, with their phone right on top of everything else inside for easy access... but then they turn their back on their purse when they get deep into conversation. It sounds like your phone holder would keep them from being such an easy target.
